With Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho having reportedly met with Gareth Bale for crisis talks, what he told the Welshman in that discussion has now seemingly been revealed.
The Real Madrid loanee was once again an unused substitute in Spurs' 3-1 win over Sheffield United on Sunday.
According to The Sun, Mourinho gave Bale a talking-to in training and later told his coaching staff what he told the Welshman.
"You want to stay here (and play football), or go to Real Madrid and play no football?" the Portuguese tactician could be heard saying, as he explained to some of his staff what he told the Wales star, in a video that was released by Spurs TV.

Despite that private discussion, Mourinho protected the winger during a recent press conference, saying that everyone needs to have more patience with Bale.
"Of course, he arrived injured and he was injured for the first month," he explained.
"Then step by step, the Europa League matches were helping him to get his condition.
"In the Premier League, he has not played many minutes and then another small injury at Stoke where he was having a good first half.
"He's now coming back, it's not an easy process. Everybody knows the past couple of seasons at Real Madrid were not easy for him.
"But let's go step by step and try to get the best out of him."
Bale has made 12 appearances for Spurs so far this season, scoring three goals, but has only featured in one of the club's past 10 Premier League games.
