Following Crystal Palace's 3-2 defeat at Goodison Park on Thursday night, video footage has emerged of the Eagles' boss Patrick Vieira kicking an Everton fan after the game.
Mane Linked With Huge Contract Away From Anfield
The former Arsenal captain could find himself in hot water as a possible investigation from the FA looms for the 45-year-old following the altercation with the home supporter.
Palace started the game against the Toffees well when Jean-Philippe Mateta opened the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute, before their lead was doubled by Ghana international Jordan Ayew.
The Blues, however, displayed their determination to stave off a first possible Premier League relegation in their history when they scored three unanswered goals in the second half courtesy of Michael Keane, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to win the game 3-2.
The result meant that Everton would be playing Premier League football for yet another season, and when referee Anthony Taylor blew the final whistle, hundreds of the Goodison Park faithful invaded the pitch to celebrate their team's 69th straight season in the English top flight.
After the match had ended, Vieira, unaccompanied by staff or security, made his way across the pitch towards the away dressing room, which is housed in the Park End of the stadium as a result of COVID-19 protocols.
Footage on Sky Sports showed a fan provoking Vieira while he was walking across the field with what looked to be obscene gestures, and the angry Palace boss reacted by lashing out, first with his hand before kicking the said supporter.
The 1998 FIFA World Cup winner was then seemingly shoved by another Everton fan before others stepped in to ensure the 45-year-old could leave the pitch safely.

Asked about the incident in a post-match interview, Vieira said: "I do not have anything to say about that," as per Football.London.
