The 25-year-old became the most expensive goalkeeper in the world with his €75 million (R1.16 billion) move to Liverpool last week, overtaking the fee paid for Gianluigi Buffon when Juventus bought him from Parma in 2001.
Jurgen Klopp's pursuit of Alisson came following Loris Karius' major errors in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, which the Reds lost 2-1, in May.
Reports suggest that the Brazil No. 1 will earn £77 000 (R1.3 million) a week at his new club, which leaves him just outside of the club's top 10 earners. The best-paid player at Liverpool remains Mohamed Salah on £200 000 (R3.4 million) a week.
Defender Virgil van Dijk and striker Roberto Firmino are believed to be on weekly wages of £150 000 (R2.6 million), while Fabinho, another new signing, is reportedly on £130 000 (R2.2 million) a week.
Klopp, meanwhile, has revealed that Alisson will play regularly for Liverpool despite still thinking very highly of Karius.
"Obviously, Alisson is a world-class goalkeeper, so we're not going to say, 'Let's have a look'," the German tactician revealed, as per Liverpool's official website.
"He will play, of course. He is the No. 1 for Brazil and then there is the fee. When Alisson is ready, he will be in our goal.
"We all need to help him so he can perform as good as possible. That is maybe the only difference.
"But for that to happen we need a strong squad around him and Loris is an outstanding goalkeeper. That's the truth. Nothing else."
Alisson made 64 appearances for Roma since joining the club in 2016, and kept 26 clean sheets during that time.
