Recent reports suggested that Salah had publicly flirted with a move to Real Madrid or FC Barcelona in order to secure himself a better deal at Liverpool.
Although he is understood to earn twice as much as his teammate Sadio Mane does, the Reds winger is not the top African earner in the English top flight.
Currently, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Thomas Partey are the highest-paid African stars in England, with both reportedly receiving weekly wages of £250 000 (R5.1 million).
Salah is in third spot with a salary of £200 000 (R4.1 million) a week, receiving double the £100 000 (R2.05 million) Mane is believed to earn.
