Earlier this week, United announced the extension of Ighalo's loan deal until 31 January, with the Daily Mirror claiming that the Premier League side will continue to pay £130 000 (R2.8 million) of his £300 000 (R6.5 million) weekly wages, while his parent club Shanghai Shenhua contributes the rest.
His salary ensures that he is among United's top earners, although eight of the club's stars pocket more than he does.

Alexis Sanchez has remains at the top of the club's wage bill, with United understood to be paying him £300 000 in weekly wages, despite the player being out on loan at Inter Milan.
David de Gea and Paul Pogba are in the second and third place among United's top earners, pocketing £290 000 (R6.25 million) and £280 000 (R6 million) a week, respectively.
