It has been claimed that United's new star Sanchez is joined by his former teammate Ozil as the best paid players in England's top flight.

The two attacking midfielders are believed to be on £500 000 (R6 million) a week at their respective clubs following their new deals.

France international Paul Pogba has dropped to third in the list with his weekly wage of £290 000 (R4.9 million), ahead of Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, who recently signed a new contract with the Citizens, on £280 000 (R4.7 million).

Fifth in the 10-man list is Chelsea winger Eden Hazard with his reported wage of £220 000 (R3.7 million), while his teammate Cesc Fabregas and City duo David Silva and Yaya Toure are believed to be on the same weekly pay as the Belgian.

Raheem Sterling, who is enjoying his best season as a professional footballer so far, having scored 19 goals and assisted a further 10 strikes in 34 matches, is reportedly on a wage of £180 000 (R3.2 million) at Premier League leaders City.
