With Real Madrid still trying to offload some of their players, a surprise Premier League club has now been linked with one of their misfits.
Left-back Theo Hernandez arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu last season, but struggled to live up to expectations in his first campaign with the club.
As a consequence, Real are reportedly looking to loan him out in 2018/19, and the player has been heavily linked with a move to Real Sociedad.
However, according to Marca, newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham have now entered the race for the 20-year-old.
It is believed that Fulham, who surprised many when they signed Jean Michael Seri earlier in the window, are prepared to pay Hernandez's €2 million (R31 million) loan fee as well as his wages.
Sociedad are yet to match this offer, even though the player is believed to be keen to stay in Spain.
Hernandez joined Los Blancos in a €24 million (R375 million) deal at the beginning of last season but started only 17 games across all competitions in the 2017/18 campaign, with six of those coming against weaker sides in the Copa del Rey.
