Starting XI: Spurs Vs Liverpool

The Premier League's early game on Saturday sees Tottenham Hotspur welcome Liverpool and their new manager Jurgen Klopp to White Hart Lane.

Liverpool supporters will get a first look at their new man in charge, while Spurs will be hoping to keep their good home form intact.

The arrival of Klopp to the Premier League is something really special, and he is only the second German manager to manage in England's top flight (Felix Magath was the first when he took charge of Fulham in 2014). 

Gerard Houllier is the only Liverpool manager to win his first Premier League game in charge at the club (2-1 vs Southampton in 1998).

Spurs are the only team in England's top flight not to have lost since the opening weekend – they have won three and drawn four matches.

Liverpool are on a streak of five successive league wins against Spurs for the first time since 1976; this is the 145th league clash between the sides, but neither team has won six in a row.

The last time Spurs lost six consecutive games against the same league opponent was against Newcastle United between 2006 and 2008.

Tottenham's last five Premier League home defeats have all been by a one goal margin – the last team to win by more at White Hart Lane were Liverpool (3-0 in August 2014).

Daniel Sturridge scored three times in five league games against Spurs before moving to Anfield, but has failed to net in four appearances against them for the Reds.

The Merseysiders have only won one of their last nine Premier League away games – they drew four and lost the other four.

In team news, Liverpool have a host of injuries and are missing Danny Ings, Joseph Gomez, Roberto Firmino, Christian Benteke and Jordan Henderson.

Spurs have injuries of their own: they will be without Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and new boy Son Heung-min.
