Manchester United are back at Old Trafford as they welcome city rivals Manchester City in the 170th derby clash.
Premier League
Teams: Manchester United v Manchester City
Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester
Time: 3.05pm
Both teams claimed the bragging rights in last season’s home meetings, with United ending a run of four consecutive derby defeats thanks to a 4-2 win in April.
The clubs are currently separated by two points in the league and a win for United will see them leapfrog City into first place.
After easing past Everton last weekend, the Red Devils needed a second-half header from Anthony Martial to rescue a draw in Moscow on Wednesday night in the Champions League, while City came from behind to beat Sevilla at the Etihad Stadium to clinch a fourth successive victory since losing 4-1 at Tottenham Hotspur.
Man Utd have won 17 of their 23 Premier League home games under Louis van Gaal (a ratio 74%) while conceding just 16 goals.
Manchester City are looking for their 50th competitive win in the Manchester derby (49 wins, 50 draws and 69 losses).
In team news, United are likely to be without James Wilson, Ashley Young and Paddy McNair, alongside long-term absentee Luke Shaw.
City are without top scorer Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri with hamstring injuries, while Gael Clichy and Fabian Delph are also expected to be ruled out as well.
Here is how the teams will line up:
Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Rojo; Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Herrera; Mata, Rooney, Martial.
Manchester City: Hart, Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolarov, Fernando, Fernandinho, Toure, Sterling, De Bruyne, Bony
