Salah retained the award after scoring six goals, including four against Watford, in just four games in March, and it is his third EPL Player of the Month accolade after winning the award in November and February.

"I feel good to win it again, we had good results in the month so that's the most important thing," he told the Premier League's official website.

Salah currently sits on 30 league goals, one more than Lionel Messi, and could become the first African to lift the European Golden Shoe.

The next milestone the Egyptian is aiming for is the record for the most goals in a 38-match PL season, jointly held by Alan Shearer (1995/96), Cristiano Ronaldo (2007/08) and Luis Suarez (2013/14), with 31 strikes apiece.

"I'm very proud to see myself fighting to break the (goalscoring) record for the Premier League," Salah added.

"I'm thinking about each game. That's my target, I want to score, I want to help the team to win again.

"It's still five games to go, there's a big chance, let's see."

In addition to his Player of the Month exploits, Salah is also the highest scoring Egyptian in Premier League history, and broke Fernando Torres' Liverpool record for the player with the most goals in a debut season for the club.

He became the African record scorer in a single EPL campaign after breaking Didier Drogba's record of 29 goals on the weekend.

Salah's superb run of form is also evident in the UEFA Champions League, where he equalled Samuel Eto'o's record for the most goals by an African in a single campaign, and became the first Egyptian to reach the semi-finals.

There's still a chance for him to break EPL record, win UCL.. My question is what if he beats Messi on the Pichchi and wins the UCL.. Will the world do the right thing and give him World Footballer of the year?
