After Jurgen Klopp was named the LMA Manager of the Year award, Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson revealed how the Liverpool boss called him in the early hours of the morning last week to celebrate winning the league.

Following a remarkable 2019/20 campaign, the German manager picked up another piece of silverware on Monday night when he was handed the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy for the LMA Manager of the Year prize.
The Red Devils icon, who presented the award via a video message, was happy to congratulate Klopp on his achievement, and joked that he will hold nothing against the Reds manager for phoning the him in the early hours of the morning to tell him that he had won the Premier League.
"You really thoroughly deserved it," Ferguson said in the video, according to Sky Sports.
"The performance level of your team was fantastic. Your personality runs right through the whole club. I think it was a marvellous performance.
"I will forgive you for waking me up at half-past three in the morning to tell me you won the league! Thank you.
"But anyway, you thoroughly deserved it. Well done."

The prize is handed out annually by the League Managers Association, and is voted for by fellow bosses, with the winner coming from any of the England's four professional leagues.
