Legendary Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has finally reacted to the managerial appointment of Erik ten Hag.

It was recently announced that the 52-year-old Ajax Amsterdam tactician will be the Red Devils' next manager after his five-year spell with the Dutch giants, with whom he has celebrated five trophies so far.
Ten Hag's appointment comes after the struggling English giants endured one of their darkest seasons since Ferguson's retirement in 2013, with the side currently sixth in the Premier League and six points off the top four, with just four games remaining.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick stepped in after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer towards the end of last year, but results and performances have not improved as much as the board would have hoped, and Rangnick will now be getting ready to transition to a consultancy role at the club.
Ferguson, whose Old Trafford boots continue to be remarkably difficult to fill, believes Ten Hag needs to be the man who galvanises not just the team but the entire club ahead of the 2022/23 season.
"I hope he does well (Ten Hag), because the club needs someone to get in control," he told RTE Racing.
"I hope he does well, yeah."
Ajax have four Eredivisie matches left to play this season, with the team currently four points ahead of second-placed PSV Eindhoven on the table.
In England, United host Chelsea in a league clash on Thursday night.
