Tottenham Hotspur star Sergio Reguilon has revealed what he told the referee when he saw a supporter 'lying down', which led to the game being suspended.
There was a scary moment in the final 10 minutes of the first half when the referee brought the stanza to a halt due to a medical emergency in the crowd.
The Spanish full-back was the first to alert referee Andre Marriner and reveals he urged the official to stop the game.
"I saw the man lying down. I was very nervous. I went to the referee and said "look at this, we cannot play like this, we must stop the match"," Reguilon told Sky Sports News.
"I look at the fans saying "stop, stop". I look over and I say "He's lying down, it's no good... please stop the game".
The game eventually resumed after it was confirmed by the Magpies that the supporter was stablised and taken to hospital.
Spurs went on to claim a 3-1 victory to move up to fifth spot on the Premeir League table, while Newcastle were unable to give their new owners a welcoming gift.
