Sarri Sends Message To Chelsea Fans For Booing Star
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri had a message for the Blues supporters who booed Jorginho during their Europa League victory.
Jorginho has been the subjective of wide spread criticism in recent weeks as Chelsea have slipped out of the top four and the FA Cup.
The Italy international replaced Ross Barkley in the final 15 minutes against Malmo on Thursday night, but was greeted by boos from sections of the fans at Stamford Bridge.
Sarri claims Chelsea struggled in the first 30 minutes and hopes the fans understand the midfielder's importance.
"I think that in the first 30 minutes we understood why Jorginho is very important for our team. We were in trouble to exit from our half with the pressing," Sarri was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
"With Jorginho, it is easier, I think. I would hope that our fans would be able to understand that Jorginho for us is really a very important player."
"I think that we played the first 30 minutes without confidence - we were nervous.
"We were unable to move the ball very fast and we were in trouble with their pressing.
