Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly had a word with French boss Didier Deschamps about the recently under-fire Paul Pogba, and what the Portuguese tactician told the Frenchman has now apparently been revealed.
According to the Daily Mirror, Mourinho made contact with Pogba's international boss before Les Bleus' two matches over the past week to discuss the player's form.
The Red Devils manager is believed to have explained that he feels the player is more worried about his appearance than he is about football these days.
Deschamps seemingly responded by dropping Pogba from France's starting XI for their first friendly against Colombia, although he did come on from the bench to play the last 25 minutes of the encounter.
The France boss then named the 25-year-old in his starting team for their next game against Russia, a match in which Pogba scored an impressive free-kick and put in a Man of the Match display.
Reports on Wednesday suggested that Mourinho has decided he wants to keep the midfielder at United beyond this season as he feels the player can become one of the best in the world.
It has been said that both Mourinho and Deschamps want to get the best out of the player, who won the FIFA World Cup Best Young Player award in 2014.
