Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba has been linked with a shock move to Manchester City, but the truth behind the rumours has now reportedly been revealed.
Ahead of the Manchester Derby on Saturday, City boss Pep Guardiola had claimed that agent Mino Raiola had offered Pogba to the Citizens in the January transfer window.
A lot of media speculation followed, while Pogba responded by scoring twice in United's dramatic 3-2 derby victory.
According to Manchester Evening News, however, Pogba was never in line to leave the Red Devils, despite what has been said about the Frenchman.
It has also been claimed that while United were not prepared to sell Pogba to any club, they would certainly not let him leave to the Citizens.
Manager Jose Mourinho was full of praise for the midfielder after the match on Saturday, insisting that the 25-year-old is improving.
Pogba has now scored five goals and assisted a further nine strikes in 21 league games for his club this season.
