Everton boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly furious with Wayne Rooney after the Manchester United legend was arrested last week.

Reports: Rooney Arrested

The retired England international faces a drink-driving charge following his arrest on Friday.

According to The Sun, the former United striker could be fined two weeks' wages if he is found guilty, and it is believed Koeman has already met with the player.

It is understood that the Dutch tactician made it clear to Rooney that his behaviour was unacceptable, especially as it was the manager who reportedly granted him the time off during the international break to relax.

Speculation in England has it that the Everton forward went on a 10-hour drinking binge, culminating in him being taken in by the police.

Yes, he should take responsibility of his actions. Rooney is a family man with wife and kids. He shouldnt conduct himself like a teenager. Besides, he's a professional player who made name for himself in the field of play. He need to take good responsibility with regard to his personal life off the field.
