Reports: Real To Pay Up To R2.7bn For Bale Replacement
Reports: Real Madrid To Pay Up To R2.7bn For Gareth Bale Replacement
Spanish giants Real Madrid are considering replacing Gareth Bale with Premier League winger who could cost them up to £166 million (R2.7 billion) next season.
According to El Confidencial, Los Blancos have identified Liverpool star Mohamed Salah as the perfect replacement for the former Tottenham Hotspur star.
The 25-year-old, who has been arguably the best player in the English top flight this season, joined the Reds at the beginning of the current campaign from Serie A side Roma, and has flourished ever since.
The Egyptian, who has scored 24 goals in 29 league matches for Jurgen Klopp's side so far, has now apparently caught Real's attention, and it has been said the club wants to see him in an overhauled front line they are trying to assemble from next season.
Zinedine Zidane's side has also been linked with a move for Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard over the past few seasons, with the Belgium international apparently stalling contract talks with the Blues in the hopes an offer from Real comes in for him.
Reports suggest that Liverpool will expect the Madrid club to pay more for the African star than what FC Barcelona paid for Brazil international Philippe Coutinho while, according to El Confidencial, they want as much as Monaco got when they sold Kylian Mbappe to Paris Saint-Germain – £166 million (R2.7 billion).
Salah has made 40 appearances for the Anfield club this season, scoring 32 goals and assisting a further 11 strikes.
