According to Marca, the Portuguese tactician has made sure that the Red Devils are in front of the queue for the services of winger Lucas Vazquez.
The 27-year-old is looking to get regular first-team football in the upcoming season, and Mourinho apparently sees him as an ideal replacement for Anthony Martial, who is linked with an Old Trafford exit.
It has been suggested that Vazquez worried about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu after Julen Lopetegui replaced Zinedine Zidane in the Madrid dugout recently.
The Spaniard has reportedly also had the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool show interest in him in recent weeks, but Los Blancos are said to be in no rush to sell the winger.
The former Espanyol star made 53 appearances for Real last season, scoring eight goals and assisting a further 16 strikes.
