Reports: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang To Arsenal Depends On One Star
Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's potential move to Arsenal reportedly comes down to the availability of a certain player.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Bundesliga club could make the Gunners wait until the end of the season to sign the Gabon international if the London side does not offer them a specific player in return.
Reports suggest that the German side has made France international Olivier Giroud their No. 1 choice to replace Aubameyang.
Dortmund apparently want £60 million (R1.01 billion) for their African star, and are only willing to sell him if they are able to get a replacement in this window.
Should Arsene Wenger want the 28-year-old to join him at the Emirates this month, he may need to offer Giroud in part exchange.
Arsenal have already been part of a similar deal this season, when they allowed Alexis Sanchez to join Manchester United and received Henrikh Mkhitaryan in exchange.
Aubameyang has made 23 appearances for BVB so far this season, scoring 21 goals and assisting three further strikes.
