Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly planning to hijack the transfer of one of Jose Mourinho's biggest targets for Manchester United.
Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala has been linked with the Red Devils in recent months, but according to Don Balon, a new team has emerged as favourites for his signature.
The Citizens are reportedly ready to rival United for the Argentina international, with the club said to be looking for a forward.
City were said to be favourites to land Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, but seemingly decided not meet the player's wage demands, which led to him joining Mourinho's United.
Guardiola apparently wants his club to meet Juventus' asking price for Dybala, who is considered to be one of the hottest properties in European football at the moment.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with Spanish giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent seasons.
Dybala has scored 17 goals and assisted five further strikes in 28 games for the Bianconeri so far in this campaign.
