Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly met with one of FC Barcelona’s biggest transfer targets to tell the player he wants to sign him.
Three Midfielders On Barca's Dream Wish List
According to Radio Monte Carlo, the Spaniard had a secret meeting with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot last week.
The Frenchman was reportedly chased by the Catalan club in this latest transfer window, but a move failed to materialise.
The 23-year-old's current deal will expire at the end of this season if he does not renew his contract, meaning he can start negotiating with interested clubs in January when there will be just six months left on his deal.
PSG have reportedly tried to renew the player's contract, but progress is yet to be made as the player is seemingly unwilling to commit himself to the club.
The star's mother, who acts as his agent, is believed to have met with the French club's board on several occasions, but the player is yet to show an eagerness to stay at the Ligue 1 champions.
