Paul Pogba has reportedly fallen out with Jose Mourinho and could still leave to join FC Barcelona in this window. However, he will receive a massive bonus if he snubs the Spanish giants, according to reports.
The 25-year-old captained United in their first two games this season, and scored from the penalty spot in both.
However, he was very cryptic about his relationship with Mourinho when asked about it after the team's opening day win over Leicester City, saying he cannot say how he really feels because he will get fined.
Mourinho, meanwhile, has played down any rift with his superstar, insisting he never had a heated argument with the player.
It is understood that Barcelona are monitoring the situation around the French star, who won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Les Blues, even though a move this month seems unlikely, with the English transfer window already closed, which means United would not be unable to sign a replacement.
According to English publication the Daily Metro, a stay at the Premier League side will earn Pogba a £3.4 million (R62 million) loyalty bonus as part of his contract with the Red Devils.
Overall, the former Juventus star has made 97 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 17 goals and assisting another 18 strikes since arriving from the Bianconeri in a club-record deal in 2016.
