According to French newspaper L'Equipe, the 26-year-old has his mind set on leaving the Red Devils at the end of the season.
It has been claimed the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has made his representatives aware of his plans following United's recent run of poor results.
The last straw for Pogba was reportedly United's UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of FC Barcelona at the quarter-final stage, a tie they lost 4-0 on aggregate.
With three league games left this season, finishing in the top four of the Premier League looks unlikely for United, which could mean the club will not be able to pay their star players what they are currently earning.
Los Blancos are said to be interested in Pogba, with Zinedine Zidane believed to be an admirer of the former Juventus midfielder.
There could be one complication, however: the player's agent, Mino Raiola, reportedly does not have a good relationship with Real president Florentino Perez.

Despite the criticism he has faced this season, Pogba has enjoyed his most prolific campaign as a professional footballer, having scored 16 goals and assisted 11 strikes in 43 matches for United so far.
