According to the Metro, the interim boss is likely to stay on, and has already held a meeting with the club's board to discuss their plans ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
It has been claimed that Solskjaer told the board he would like to sign a right-back, a left-back, a right-winger and an attacking midfielder.
With Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian expected to leave the club, the boss apparently feels it is imperative to sign a new right-back, especially with utility fullback Ashley Young turning 34 years old in July.
Solskjaer is also believed to want back-up for Luke Shaw in the left-back position, while he feels adding depth to his attack will give the team a greater chance of competing on all fronts.
The manager will reportedly be given about £200 million (R3.8 billion) to spend in the transfer window before next season gets underway.
