It has been reported that several Manchester United stars have met with Jose Mourinho to discuss the current situation with superstar Paul Pogba.
The 24-year-old has received heavy criticism in recent weeks, and has even found himself on the bench and being substituted in recent games.
Many fans and pundits alike believe Pogba would be better suited to a three-man midfield rather than the current two-man midfield, in order to stop him from having to make tackles and track runners.
Pogba’s defensive frailties were exposed in United’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur three game weeks ago, while in their previous match against Newcastle he was anonymous.
According to Manchester Evening News, some players at United have made their concerns known to Mourinho about the current situation, although they are not against the manager’s recent decisions.
It is believed that there are other players in the side who feel they should line up with three in midfield to get the best out of Pogba.
The France international excelled in that system at Juventus, which has left many with the opinion that he is being wasted in his deeper role.
Pogba has played 23 games for the Red Devils this season, scoring three goals and assisting a further 10 strikes.
