Reports: Manchester United Star Tops Chelsea Transfer Shortlist

Although the managerial situation at Chelsea next season is uncertain, there are reports in England that have linked an out-of-favour Manchester United star with the Stamford Bridge club.

Mourinho Wants Ex-Man Utd Star Back At Old Trafford

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are looking at signing former Monaco starlet Anthony Martial from the Old Trafford side at the end of this campaign.

Reports last month suggested the Frenchman rejected a new contract from the Red Devils after being disillusioned by the lack of first team football being offered under Jose Mourinho.

With Antonio Conte’s future not completely safe, publications are suggesting that club owner Roman Abramovich still “remains committed” to improving his underachieving squad and wants to see them challenging for the title again next season.

The 2016/17 Premier League champions, who lacked attacking options in this campaign, are hoping to add a few versatile players to the team and they reportedly see Martial as a viable option.

FA Cup semi-finalists Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old, who currently has one year left on his deal.

Martial has made 134 appearances for the Red Devils in his career, scoring 36 goals and further assisting in 27 more.

Martial is the type of player we need a player that will always go for goal. We've been lacking someone like that since Schurrle left.
