Reports: Manchester United Star Agrees Exit Under One Condition
It has been reported that a Manchester United star has agreed to leave the club under one condition.
According to The Sun, defender Luke Shaw is open to leaving the Red Devils in January, but only under the condition that the club pays him out.
It has been claimed that the Englishman wants £5 million (R91 million) from United to avoid losing out on money from his contract, which will reportedly expire at the end of next season.
Another reason for Shaw's demand is reportedly because he is unlikely to get the same earnings elsewhere.
The 22-year-old has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United in recent months.
It has been speculated that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino could be looking to get rid of left back Danny Rose in the coming window, and that a potential swap deal could be on the cards.
Shaw also recently admitted he would like to play under Pochettino again one day – the pair worked together at Southampton.
The defender has played just three times for the Red Devils this season.
