Reports: Manchester United's Jose Mourinho Eyes R651m Chelsea Star
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a Chelsea star said to be worth £40 million (R651 million).
According to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese tactician is planning another spending spree next season, and has identified Brazil international Willian as a possible target.
The former Real Madrid, FC Porto and Inter Milan boss is said to have already spent £300 million (R4.88 billion) since his appointment at United in 2016, but there are still areas of the team he wants to improve in the coming months.
Mourinho has been a big admirer of Willian since their time together at Stamford Bridge, and has tried to poach him from the London club before.
The 29-year-old reminded the "Special One" of his qualities in the Blues' 2-1 defeat to the Red Devils last Sunday, when he opened the scoring at Old Trafford.
The right wing position has been a concern for Mourinho this season as none of his current attacking options has stepped up and made the position their own.
The Brazilian has made 42 appearances for Chelsea so far this season, scoring 12 goals and assisting a further 10 strikes.
