Jose Mourinho is said to have identified a striker he wants to lure to Manchester United, one who may come as a surprise to many fans.
Reports: Man Utd Set To Confirm First Shock Signing
According to Sky Sports News, the Red Devils are interested in signing West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic.
The 29-year-old had an excellent debut season with the Hammers, and is said to be valued at about £50 million (R833 million) by the London club.
The speculation has surprised many, while it has even been claimed that Jose Mourinho was in the stands when Austria took on Russia in an international friendly on Wednesday night – Arnautovic provided the assist in Austria's 1-0 win, and was one of the better performers for his country.
The attacker and Mourinho previously worked together at Inter Milan in 2010, but he made just three appearances in his loan spell at the Italian club.

Prior to his move to West Ham, where he has so far contributed to 19 goals in 35 games, Arnautovic scored 26 goals and assisted a further 32 strikes in 145 matches for Stoke City.
