Jose Mourinho has known Justin Kluivert ever since he was a little boy accompanying his famous father to training sessions at Barcelona, where the Portuguese worked as translator under Sir Bobby Robson and later as an assistant to Luis van Gaal.
Justin has since taken major steps in his development as a professional footballer himself, and faced Mourinho's Red Devils with Ajax Amsterdam in the UEFA Europa League final last season.
Mourinho even had special words of comfort for Kluivert Jr after the Europa League final, and new reports by the Daily Mirror suggest that the Portuguese tactician wants to take the Ajax attacker to Old Trafford.
United are believed to be in "advanced talks" with the player, and are ready to strike a deal worth £10 million (R170 million), plus various add-ons, at the end of the season.
Despite his young age, Justin Kluivert has already made 43 first team appearances for Ajax, scoring eight goals and assisting another eight strikes.
His father Patrick made 245 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 117 goals along the way, and is to date the youngest player to score in a UEFA Champions League final after scoring for Ajax against AC Milan in the 1995 final at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 23 days to help the Dutch side lift the trophy.
