Reports: Man Utd Identify Mourinho Replacement
Reports: Manchester United Identify Jose Mourinho Replacement
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has come under fire in recent weeks following his apparent fallouts with Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw, and the club has now reportedly identified the man who could replace the Portuguese in the Red Devils' hot seat.
During a recent press conference, Mourinho seemingly lost his cool, which was perhaps a result of the heavy criticism he has received of late.
The Portuguese tactician angrily defended his record at United since his arrival, insisting the club have moved forward since he took charge.
Recent spats with Pogba and Shaw has also seen supporters begin to question Mourinho's intentions at Old Trafford as this was not the first time he has had public disputes with players at a club.
Despite recently signing a new deal that will keep him at United until 2020, many believe he will not be at the club for too much longer.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the United board is also taking steps to ensure they have a replacement for when Mourinho does leave, with Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri being their current favourite.
The Italian is one of Europe's most in-demand managers, having won seven trophies at Juventus, while he has also made it to two UEFA Champions League finals with the Turin club.
Allegri is also reportedly looking for a new challenge after the current season, although Mourinho is likely to remain at United for at least one more campaign.
