With Antoine Griezmann yet to sign for FC Barcelona as many expect, Manchester United have reportedly restored their interest in the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner and made contact with his representatives.
Man Utd's Six-Man Transfer Shortlist Revealed?
According to The Independent, although the Catalan club still appears to be Griezmann's most likely destination, key figures in the dressing room have doubts as to whether he should join.
Asked about the Frenchman's potential arrival in a recent press conference, captain Lionel Messi refused to give his opinion, with many believing the Argentine and his senior colleagues are against the transfer.
Although it is not yet clear where he will be playing next season, Griezmann will definitely leave Atletico Madrid following his exit announcement a few weeks ago.
As per The Independent, United have made contact with the Frenchman's representatives to let them know they are still very much interested in securing his signature.
The 28-year-old was close to joining the Red Devils two seasons ago, and was also linked with the club last year.
