Reports: Manchester United Agree Terms With Brazilian

Manchester United have reportedly agreed terms with a Brazilian star, although his potential move to the Red Devils has its complications.

Official: Man Utd’s First Departure Confirmed

According to The Sunday Times, Juventus left-back Alex Sandro is open to joining United in this transfer window, having agreed terms with the club already.

However, the Premier League side is reportedly not willing to meet the Italian club's price for the player, stalling the progress of the transfer.

Sandro is said to be ready to leave Juventus as they have not offered him a new contract, resulting in him becoming frustrated.

The Brazilian has been a long-time target of Jose Mourinho's since the Portuguese was given the United job in 2016, especially considering the inconsistency in the left-back position at United.

The likes of Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw and Ashley Young have all been deployed in the role, with only the latter, a former left and right wing, convincing the manager.

It is also believed that Shaw's determination to stay at United is making the club's pursuit of Sandro difficult, with the young English fullback believed to be set on fighting for a place in Mourinho's first team for the coming campaign.

Shaw has featured very little under Mourinho over the past two years, and has been publicly criticised by the Portuguese during that time too. It was reported towards the end of last season that Mourinho wanted to get rid of the 23-year-old, who joined the Red Devils from Southampton four years ago.

Sandro's contract with the Bianconeri expires in 2020 only, but if the two clubs can come to an agreement over his value, he could very well leave Italy before the window closes in August.
