With the transfer window in full swing now, new reports suggest that Premier League giants Manchester United have agreed to terms with a Brazilian star, who is believed to be worth £53 million (R948 million).
According to the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils have sat down with Juventus Alex Sandro’s agent, and the two parties have struck a deal.
The chase for the Bianconeri left-back, who is said to be valued at £53 million (R948 million) by his club, has been a long one, as United’s league rivals Chelsea were also believed to be in the running for the player’s signature.
With all the uncertainty surrounding Stamford Bridge at this point in time, the report suggests that Sandro prefers a move to Old Trafford where things seem a lot more settled under Mourinho.
The Portuguese tactician is reportedly desperate to sign a new left-back for the upcoming season, as he looks to sell either Luke Shaw or Daley Blind in the current transfer window.
The Brazilian did not make his country’s 2018 FIFA World Cup squad, as the Selecao coach Tite preferred Real Madrid’s Marcelo and Atletico Madrid’s Filipe Luis over him.
Sandro has made 114 appearances for Juventus, scoring nine goals and assisting in the further 17 strikes.
