The Liverpool man has been in sensational form in England this season, having already scored 36 goals across all competitions.
The Egyptian is reportedly on Los Blancos' radar, which has led to the Merseyside club preparing a new bumper deal for their star man.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Reds want to offer the 25-year-old a new contract worth £200 000 a week (R3.2 million), which would make him one of the 10 highest earners in the league.
It has been claimed that Salah is set on staying in England as he wants to prove himself in the Premier League after a failed stint at Chelsea between 2014 and 2016.
The former Roma star is said to be on £90 000 (R1.4 million) a week at the moment, although it has also been reported elsewhere that he earns £120 000 (R1.9 million) weekly.
Although Salah would become one of the league's top 10 earners with the new deal, tied with the likes of David de Gea and Eden Hazard, he would still behind the likes of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez in the top five.
