The transfer market seems to be heating up for Liverpool, with the reigning European champions having reportedly rejected an offer for one of their stars, while also making an approach to sign a new goalkeeper.

The Reds have been one of the more active sides in the Premier League so far in this window, having signed Takumi Minamino and Joe Hardy, and loaned out no fewer than four youngsters, and look set to do further business before the market closes.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winners have rejected an approach from AS Roma for winger Xherdan Shaqiri, with the Serie A club understood to want to sign the Swiss flyer on loan after attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.
Jurgen Klopp's side has also been linked with a move for a new goalkeeper, despite the form of Alisson Becker and his understudy Adrian in goal.
The Liverpool Echo has reported that the Merseysiders made an offer of about €15 million (R241 million) for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, but the bid for the Turkey international was swiftly rejected.
Injured defender Nathaniel Clyne has also been linked with a move away from Anfield, with the right-back recently being urged to leave the club by pundit Danny Mills.
