Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be set on luring a Brazil international to the Red Devils, who are believed to be willing to pay £60 million (R1 billion) to secure his signature.
According to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese manager is still reportedly interested in signing Chelsea and Selecao winger Willian, although the Blues seem unlikely to want to sell him to their Premier League rivals.
Mourinho has reportedly been chasing Willian since his arrived at United in 2016, but is now said to have stepped up his interest in the 29-year-old, with whom he worked at Chelsea.
The winger's current deal at Stamford Bridge expires in two years, and after the 2017/18 season, he may be tempted to leave his club – Willian started on the bench for much of the second half of the campaign, although he did contribute to 25 goals in 55 matches across all competitions.
Since joining Chelsea in 2013, the attacker has scored 44 times and set up a further 39 strikes in 236 games.
