The Portuguese is said to be keen to bring more balance to his Manchester United squad for the coming season.
Currently, Ashley Young starts as left wing-back, while Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are rotated on the left wing.
All three are naturally right-footed players, and the United boss reportedly wants to address this issue in the next June-August transfer window.
According to the Daily Mirror, Mourinho is keen to add Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose, Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann and Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale to his squad.
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, who worked with Mourinho at Real Madrid, is another name the Portuguese boss wants to lure to Old Trafford.
While Ozil's current deal with Arsenal expires at the end of the season, Bale, Griezmann and Rose would all require massive transfer fees, which, combined, could easily go over £200 million (R3.7 billion).
