Reports: Jose Mourinho Open To Selling FC Barcelona Target
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly open to selling a certain Red Devils star who has been linked with FC Barcelona.
According to ESPN, Netherlands international Daley Blind is being monitored by the Spanish giants and could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the coming months.
The Dutchman joined United in 2014, when Louis van Gaal was still in charge, and cost them £13.8 million (R230.4 million).
The 27-year-old has not started a Premier League game since the Red Devils' 2-0 win over Leicester City in August, and now finds himself behind Ashley Young and Luke Shaw in the pecking order at left back. As a result, many expect the player to consider his future at the end of this season.
ESPN believe that the former Ajax Amsterdam star is keen to get more regular first-team football, and with the Blaugrana apparently interested in him, he could push for a move in this window.
It has been suggested that Mourinho will allow the versatile defender to leave the club should he put in a transfer request, but until then, he is happy to have him in his squad.
Blind has made 15 appearances for the English giants so far this season, scoring one goal and assisting two further strikes.
