Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified one of his main transfer targets ahead of next season.
According to Tuttosport, the Portuguese tactician will try to lure AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci to the Red Devils in the next transfer window.
The 31-year-old was linked with Premier League clubs such as Manchester City and Chelsea before the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign, but decided against leaving Italy and moved from Juventus to Milan instead.
It is believed that Bonucci did not want leave the country due to his son's poor health, but it has now been claimed he could consider a move abroad.
The defender is also said to be frustrated with the season he has had at Milan, which could be another reason United feel they could persuade him to join them.
The Red Devils have struggled at the back at times this season, with Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof not convincing supporters with some of their displays.
The Italy international has played 50 matches in this campaign for Milan, who cannot finish higher than sixth place in Serie A with one game to go.
