According to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese has identified Celtic striker Moussa Dembele as the ‘next Drogba’ and wants United to sign the 20-year-old.
The former Fulham striker has reportedly been watched and scouted several times by Mourinho, who he believes can be as good as the Ivorian he managed at Chelsea.
It is unlikely that Celtic will want to sell the French-born forward in January, while it is believed that the player also wants to stay in Scotland.
Dembele is also reportedly being chased by the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
