It is believed that Spanish giants FC Barcelona are edging closer to the signing of another Brazilian international, one who represented the Selecao at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Blaugrana have reportedly been monitoring Chelsea winger Willian, with rumours suggesting the 29-year-old is interested in joining the club.
A new report from Sport has it that Barca are closer to signing the Brazil international thanks to Philippe Coutinho, who has spent time trying to convince the player of a move to Spain.
Willian is said to be prepared to leave the Blues in this transfer window after five years at the club, with whom he has won the Premier League twice.
Coutinho was also recently granted his European citizenship, which means a spot has opened up for a non-European player at Barca.
The pacey winger has represented Chelsea on 236 occasions so far, scoring 44 goals and assisting a further 39 strikes.
Barca have also been linked with the Blues' Eden Hazard, although acquiring Willian's services might be a more realistic endeavour.
