According to Football Espana, the Spain international could leave the reigning Premier League champions for Turkish outfit Fenerbahce in the next few days.

It has been reported that the 28-year-old has returned to London to try to negotiate a deal that would see him go out on loan.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until 8 September, and according to various media outlets, there have been frequent talks between the two clubs.

Costa has gone on record as saying he would like to return to his former club Atletico Madrid, but knows no deal will happen while they are serving a FIFA transfer ban.

According to various Turkish media, the Brazilian-born striker will apparently pocket €5 million (R76.8 million) in wages should he accept the move to the Istanbul club.
