According to breaking reports in England, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be sacked today.

The club legend has come under immense pressure after his side fell to ninth place on the Premier League table.

The Blues have won just two of their past eight league matches, despite spending nearly €250 million (R4.6 billion) on new signings ahead of this campaign.

Recent reports suggested that Lampard would be given until the end of the season to turn things around, but it is now claimed, by the Daily Telegraph, among others, that the Englishman will be fired within the next 24 hours.

He has been in charge of the club since July 2019, winning 44 of the 84 matches since and leading Chelsea to a fourth-place finish in his first campaign as manager of the Blues.
