Reports: Arsenal Line Up Former Real Madrid Boss To Replace Arsene Wenger
London side Arsenal are reportedly lining up a former Real Madrid boss as a possible replacement for Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman signed a new two-year contract with the Gunners ahead of the current campaign, but new rumours suggest that his stay might be cut short.
According to English publication The Evening Standard, former Los Blancos, Bayern Munich and AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is being considered as Wenger's successor.
The Arsenal manager is under enormous pressure once again in his career, this time after his team suffered a 4-2 loss to Championship side Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
It is believed that sections of the club's supporters have had enough of Wenger's failures on and off the football pitch, and are calling for change before it is too late.
The report suggests that Ancelotti, who is also being monitored by his former club Chelsea, is looking for a new adventure and is apparently keen on returning to the English top flight.
Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis has always backed Wenger in tough times like these, but he may be forced to make a change if the club fails to lift a trophy this season.
