Reports in England have linked Unai Emery's Arsenal with a shock move for a Manchester United star who will be taking part in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners are preparing to put in an offer for Belgium international Marouane Fellaini.
The midfielder is set to become a free agent at the end of this month should the Red Devils fail to agree to a new deal with the Belgian in the coming weeks.
The Old Trafford club is said to have offered Fellaini a one-year deal with an option of an additional 12 months, but the player wants at least two years.
The 30-year-old is believed to be in talks with several clubs already, namely AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham United.
Arsenal are apparently looking to strengthen their midfield, and reportedly see the Belgian as a player who could give them a different option on attack when necessary.
Fellaini made only 23 appearances for United in 2017/18, scoring five goals and assisting one further strike.
