Reports: Antonio Conte Ready To Sell Star In January
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly ready to sell a certain Blues star in the January transfer window.
Brazil international David Luiz seems to have fallen out of favour at the Stamford Bridge, as he and his Italian manager have not seen eye-to-eye since their spat during the 3-0 defeat to Roma in UEFA Champions League.
According to Daily Mirror, Conte and Luiz have not managed to patch things up, and it is believed that the former Paris Saint-Germain star will leave the London club in the upcoming transfer window.
Reports are stating that Serie A champions Juventus and Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are interested in the 30-year-old centre back.
The defender has only made one appearance for the Blues since having words with his manager, which was in the 4-0 win at Qarabag in the Champions League.
A knee injury has apparently been keeping the Brazilian on the sideline up until now, but some feel that even if he were fit, he would not be selected by Conte.
The 21-year-old Danish defender Andreas Christensen has taken Luiz’s place in the Chelsea line-up, and it will be interesting to see where the player’s future lies come January.
