With European competition already guaranteed for the Reds for the 2018/19 season, the former Borussia Dortmund boss is said to be looking to strengthen his squad, with the hope of competing on all fronts in the new campaign.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the five players below could instantly improve the Reds in the upcoming season, and with none of them having Champions League football next year, they could be enticed to make the move to Merseyside.
The players in question are Sevilla forward Wissam Ben Yedder, Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt, Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez, Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri and AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Klopp is yet to bring in a suitable replacement for Phillipe Coutinho, who left for FC Barcelona in January, but could do so in this window, with Ben Yedder, Brandt and Mahrez possible candidates.
The German tactician is also said to be looking for competition for goalkeeper Loris Karius and a replacement for Emre Can for next season, which is presumably why Donnarumma and Seri have been mentioned.
