Mourinho has not been happy with a number of his player's performances in the past few weeks, and is now said to be ready to ring the changes.
According to the Daily Express, the Red Devils could part ways with up to 10 players at the end of the current campaign – seven are expected to be sold, two will be allowed to leave on a free, and the other is set to retire.
Luke Shaw, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian are the players who are likely to be sold in the coming months, while Mourinho will allow Marouane Fellaini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic leave as free agents, with their contracts set to expire in June.
Midfield veteran Michael Carrick has announced that he will retire from the game at the end of the season and will take up a coaching role at the club.
While a mass exodus is expected, the Red Devils are looking to bring in five new faces, believed to be Real Madrid's Gareth Bale, Tottenham Hotspur pair Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose, Chelsea winger Willian and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred.
